P.A.L.S

This week on pals we played touch rugby with some others we played three on three.

At first they wouldn't listen to us but after a while they did, and once they did this we got strait into the game. 

After this our team had our first try, and then every one got annoyed so we had to reset the scores. Once we did this a person in our team started being silly, by throwing the ball around stupidly and not touching others. This was annoying but it was almost the end of lunch, so we didn't have to put up with it much longer.

At the end of the game the score was two - one and we won. We packed up and went to class!

Peer Mediation!

This week on peer mediation we had to solve some kids problem, because they weren't letting each other play.

We went through all of the steps on the yellow card, but they wouldn't stop talking overtop of each other. Once they stopped talking over top of each other, the others came and said we had to swap with them, but we kept going as we had to solve this problem. It took a while but they all agreed to play with each other in the end.

After this we went and swapped wit the others!

About 2015

2015:

Next year I am going to be in Miss O'conners class (room 24). Next year we are going to be allowed to choose when we do what! Also yesterday they taught us how to be a peer midiator, and a pal, I want to become both! 

Next year my focus is my maths and to learn my times tables and my division! I also want to focus on getting points on mathletics each week!

Next year will be awesome!

What have you enjoyed most about room 10:

I have enjoyed writing because Mr Hillary always gives us a set time period, and I always try to finish it in that amount of time.

What learning have you enjoyed and why:

I've enjoyed reading because once we read a book we always do a follow up afterwards, which doesn't make me forget about the story.

What learning do you think you've improved in and why:

Writing because I've been putting more detail and punctuation in my story's, because we do activities before we start writing, which makes me think.

What extra learning have you enjoyed and why:

Literacy quiz because it made me read books that are out of my comfort zone, and they were very interesting.

What do you want to improve on:

My maths because this year the things we did in our groups, weren't as easy as the things in all of the tests. 

Animal Survival game instructions 2014

WHAT:

We have been writing a set of instructions for a game that would be suitable for fitness or lunchtime activities.

SO WHAT:

Three features I have included are:

A diagram, Variations and key features.

NOW WHAT:

Mr Hillary told me to include and e.g in my variations, he also told me to include the box in the top right corner of the first sheet.

WHAT:

Learn a range of plus and minus strategies to solve problems.

SO WHAT:

What we've done is solve plus and minus equations by using place value knowledge.

NOW WHAT:

What I can improve on is finding out a strategy to solve division problems.
